What is your trying to do I didn't have much trouble just slapping a decal in there I just pick something from or old site cut it down and slapped it in there....I wasn't trying to do any fancy stuff im not an artist......and im to lazy to edit and try to make thing look good....and the fact i dont have a good graphic editing program

Well, I've had my {ICM} Shield done for abour an hour and a half now and it's giving me a lot of headache. I was trying to get it to work for mech then (after I knew it worked) I could just resize the file for World of Tank and I can't figure it out. So I never got to really test it on anything.

The reason is because I'm having trouble with "index mode vs RGB" and the channels.

This is what I need: I Need it to be in Index mode and I need it to save the channels and be a TGA file then it just needs to be resized 64x64.

When I try to turn it to index mode it won't let me save as TGA.
When I turn try to turn it to RGB it will let me save as TGA, but I lose the channels and the transparency.

All of the information on it is good except the very end. I can't convert mine to RGB then save it. It does NOT show up.

I'm quitting for now on this. I might approach it again later. I've read lots of help stuff and I just can't get past this last hump. I don't know if you all like the shield. I thought it looked really cool, but that's just me.

Here's the file if any of you want to tinker with it. I saved it as a PNG24, which means it should have the channels in it and be transparent, but who knows.

That's the direct link to the file if anyone wants to download it for something like photoshop or GIMP and give it a shot. It's a huge file 10.5MB. They are just big files when you are messing with them in photoshop, sorry.

The white part is going to be transparent if I can figure out how to finish it. It won't show. Only the shield will show. That's the tricky part.

Sorry guys, don't waste time trying to wrap your brains around it. I know you guys don't mess around in photoshop any.

I guess I was just kind of venting and explaining where I was. I promised Sandtiger I would do this like a week and a half ago. I was just holding it off because I knew it would throw me curve ball - and it did. lol.

Iv played around in gimp 2 a little and im not spending money for photo shop what ever versions out.....I could look for a boot leg version but knowing my luck the FBI would be knocking on my door the next day...or is CIA i dont keep track of all these Government department we probably don't need... LOL

Let's see....I'm liking it....the shield is not transparent. but you want the borders to be transparent, make the shield itself as large as the picture height, and paint the white borders pure black....that's a non color actually I think but let me look into it again and get back to ya.

Would something like this work LOL beats me you the one that wants to change the Decal anyways im going to sleep tired of loseing in my German tanks I really should give up on the worst Tree in the game well i consider the worst tree kinda funny considering German tank were supposed to be better tank then the allied country parts but i guess the saying the Victors rights the history applies to WoT LOL
